DO YOU OFFER REDUCED RATES?
Reduced fee services are available on a limited case-by-case basis and are dependent on your income and ability to pay. If you are unable to afford counseling, we can discuss alternative options.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance and am considered in-network under their "PPO", "Blue Care HMO" & "Indemnity/Fee-For-Service" plans. If your insurance company accepts out of network professionals, I can provide a receipt so you may attempt reimbursement.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
If you are unable to keep an appointment, please Call to cancel or reschedule at least 24 business hours in advance of your appointment. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance or if you no show, you will be charged a $50 fee. This policy applies to all late cancellations or no shows. In the case of a cancelled appointment or no show, it is your responsibility to reschedule.
HOW DO I MAKE A PAYMENT?
Fees are payable in full at the end of each session. I accept cash, check (payable to Shore Counseling), debit/credit or FSA/HSA card payments. You can also add a payment method (debit/credit card) to Simple Practice if you choose.
WHAT ONLINE PLATFORM DO YOU USE FOR SCHEDULING, ETC? IS IT SECURE?
Simple Practice is the online platform I utilize. It is fully encrypted, secure and confidential. You can read more Here.

Yes, there is a mobile app for Apple and Android devices. In fact I utilize it on my mobile phone daily, and it is extremely user friendly. You can access your client portal through the App, along with all the features mentioned below. I highly recommend downloading it!

There are many benefits.
1) It is convenient.
Scheduling online allows clients to see my full availability at any time, and choose a time that works best for them.
2) It saves time.
Completing the required paperwork online prior to the initial "Counseling Assessment" allows us to spend more time discussing what brought the client into counseling.
3) It prevents clients from feeling rushed.
It allows clients to complete the required paperwork at their own pace and to be thoughtful and thorough in their responses.
4) Clients gain access to many features.
You become an active client in Simple Practice, granting you access to your secure client portal and the features listed above.
5) It's free for you! What more can I say?! It's a service I provide my clients to improve their counseling experience.
I STRUGGLE WITH TECHNOLOGY.
COULD YOU DETAIL HOW TO SCHEDULE MY FIRST SESSION AND COMPLETE THE REQUIRED PAPERWORK ONLINE?
I totally understand that technology can be difficult to navigate. However, Simple Practice makes it really easy.
On my "Getting Started" page, you will find "3 Steps" to scheduling and completing the required paperwork.
If you need more detailed steps however, I have listed them below:
1) Click this "Schedule Online" link to request an appointment using the SECURE online platform.
2) Select "I'm a New Client"
3) Select "Counseling Assessment" (this will be your only option).
4) Select "Davidson Counseling" (located at 134 Jackson Street).
5) Select a convenient "Date & Time".
(Please note that you cannot schedule an appointment online within 24 hours of the time of scheduling. You must call 704-237-3847 to schedule within 24 hours).
6) Enter your "First name", "Last name", "Email" and "Phone". Then select "Continue & Review".
7) Review your information and select "Request Appointment".
8) Wait for an email from me stating that your appointment was approved or declined.
If declined, please select a different appointment date/time.
If approved, continue to the next step.
9) Take note of your username, which is your email, and password included in the email.
10) Follow the link in the email prompting you to sign in to the client portal.
11) Enter your username and password that was included in the email from me, then click "Log in". You will be automatically directed to reset your password.
12) Reset your password to something you will remember! You will be automatically directed to complete the required paperwork.
13) Complete and sign the required paperwork.
14) Click "Submit"
15) You are good to go! Please let me know if you have any issues.
HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AND COMPLETE THE REQUIRED PAPERWORK IF I CHOOSE NOT TO UTILIZE THE ONLINE SERVICES OFFERED?
If you choose not to utilize the online scheduling platform, please Call or Email to schedule your first session.
I aim to return calls within 24 hours to schedule and we will complete the paperwork together during our initial session.
Please note that I must have this paperwork complete to provide counseling services. Therefore, we will need to complete this before moving forward with counseling.
CAN CURRENT CLIENTS USE THE "ONLINE SCHEDULING" LINK?
Yes! After following the "Schedule Online" link, existing clients will be asked to login to your client portal to schedule.
For detailed steps, please see below:
1) Click the "Schedule Online" link to request an appointment using the SECURE online portal.
2) Select "I'm an Existing Client"
3) Login using your portal Username and Password.
4) Select "Request New Appointment".
5) Select "Counseling - 50 minutes"
6) Select Davidson Counseling (134 Jackson Street)
7) Select a convenient Date & Time

IT HAS BEEN A WHILE SINCE MY LAST SESSION, CAN I SCHEDULE A FOLLOW UP SESSION?
Absolutely! Just use the "Schedule Online" link to login to your client portal.
If it has been 120 or more days since our most recent session, you may no longer have access to my calendar. Therefore, please reach out to me via Phone or Email so I can regrant you access.
Please note my "Dormancy Policy" states that "unless otherwise discussed, if it has been 120 or more days since our most recent meeting your file becomes inactive and you are no longer considered to be under my care. If you decide to reengage counseling in the future, we can reopen your file at that time."
